Jamie Young

Growing up our grandmother taught my sisters and I the basic sewing skills of threading a needle, knotting, and simple embroidery techniques. I've recently been head over heals for the new Jamie Young pillows we received at the showroom- and have been inspired to get back to my sewing roots. I just purchased my 600-stitch Singer that I'm excited to dive into today and learn how technology has gotten the best of me! Along with my 8"hoop and about 30 different thread colors to go to town and embroider my day away!

Here are a few of my favorite pillows that are absolutely stunning in person and will help spice up any room and decor! You can find more beautiful inspirations at www.jamieyoung.com

The little things...

How often do we wake up to a routine schedule without appreciating the very small things in life that really shape and make who we are and what inspires us to grow? I'm guilty of this quite often and strive to set aside some time each day to reflect and see those remarkable little details!

"Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose hear. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith."

Linen

lin'en (n): textile made from fibers of the flax plant. Linen is a very durable, strong fabric -aging beautifully with time and becomes softer the more it is washed. It is relatively easy to care for, since it resists dirt and stains and has no lint or pilling tendency. Linen can wrinkle easily but nevertheless, is often considered part of the fabric's particular "charm"...

I'm excited to design my clients' home this week with slip-covered dining chairs, linen sofas & chairs, sisal rugs and neutral color palettes.
